Understanding of SVS Guideline for Management of Active Venous Ulcer

Abstract

|
This article aims to introduce the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) guidelines for management of venous ulcer. Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) are disease with very long history. However, it is not still treated effectively. The main reason is that the VLU is recurred frequently and is required constant systematic management. In 2014, SVS and American Venous Forum (AVF) made the practical guidelines for management of venous leg ulcers. This guideline attempted to critically evaluated, validated, and transfer such new techniques through evidence-based reviews. This guideline can be used to management of venous leg ulcer now and will be updated with new current researches.
